Overall Curriculum Expectations

Throughout this grade, students at Atlas Learning Zone are encouraged to develop a positive identity as math learners, foster well-being and the ability to learn, build resilience, and thrive by applying a variety of social-emotional learning skills to support their use of the mathematical processes and their learning in connection with the expectations in the other five strands of the mathematics curriculum.

Students will continue to build healthy relationship skills by using data in an infographic to communicate and tell a story. This will help them understand commonalities with their peers and what makes different groups unique.

The mathematics curriculum at Atlas Learning Zone is divided into six strands:

  • Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Skills in Mathematics and the Mathematical Processes
  • Number
  • Algebra
