Overall Curriculum Expectations

In Grade 7 Arts curriculum on Atlas Learning Zone, learners are encouraged to unleash their creativity every day.
In Grade 7 Dance, students refine their kinesthetic awareness and utilize all elements of dance – body, space, time, energy, relationship – to create dance works that express their viewpoints on a variety of issues, concepts, and themes.

In Grade 7 Drama, students incorporate elements of relationship, time and place, tension, focus, and emphasis in the drama works they create. They also apply their knowledge of the elements in analyzing drama works.

In addition to creating and interpreting music, Grade 7 Music students analyze the role of music in their lives, and explore the ways in which music has changed in response to a variety of historical, cultural, and other influences.

In Grade 7 Visual Arts, students’ own art-making becomes infused with elements from popular culture. They continue to make compositional decisions and use a variety of materials and techniques to generate and produce two- and three-dimensional works of art, as well as multimedia forms.
